First Female Chair in Neurosurgery – WiSS Premiere with Prof. Jocelyne Bloch

Last week we were pleased to host our first event in the French speaking part of Switzerland.

While we didn’t get an exact headcount, approximately 40-50 people attended, which was a nice surprise. The venue we chose was almost a bit too small for the crowd, but it created a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. The attendees included surgeons from university hospitals, regional hospitals, and private practice – including as well a handfull of male surgeons. One of the highlights was Professor Bloch’s presentation on her career and research, which was both informative and inspiring. We also had an intern and a young Chef de clinique share their career paths and the challenges they’ve faced, which led to some great conversations. The feedback was very positive, with everyone appreciating the chance to connect.

Summa summarum: It was a wonderful opportunity to learn from each other and exchange ideas. We’re grateful for everyone who joined and look forward to more events like this in the future.
